INDUSTRY

B2C - Healtcare

ONYRIC bridges the subconscious and conscious worlds using AI-powered dream analysis. Designed with a voice-first interface and explainable AI, the app guides users from raw dream input to actionable insights.
This case study explores how we turned a complex psychological tool into an intuitive, mobile-first experience.

Mindcare app screens: birthday, mood, meditation

THE PROBLEM

  • Current dream interpretation methods are subjective and time-consuming

  • Limited access to professional dream therapists (only 12% of users have access)

  • Existing apps lack AI sophistication and personalization

  • Market gap: No science-backed AI dream analysis tools

  • User frustration with generic interpretations (78% dissatisfaction rate)

UX - UI DESIGN APPROACH

ONYRIC’s interface is calm, intuitive, and emotionally supportive from the first screen. The journey starts with a soft, minimal home in deep blue and purple gradients, with a prominent “Record Dream” button that makes it easy for groggy users to begin.

  • Emotional Mapping: The layout and color choices reduce cognitive load and create a welcoming mood.

  • Speed & Privacy: Quick voice-to-text capture and a streamlined onboarding build trust and ease.

  • Typography: Avenir ensures clarity and easy reading, while Felgine adds warmth and a gentle, therapeutic tone in headings and highlights.

  • Visual Language: Deep purple, purple gradients and accents guide users smoothly through the app, yet maintain consistency and elegance.

  • Accessibility: Large tap targets and screen reader-friendly layouts support inclusive use.

USER RESEARCH & DISCOVERY

Understanding our users was critical to designing an AI that truly serves their needs. We conducted comprehensive research across multiple demographics to uncover the real challenges people face when trying to understand their dreams and how technology could bridge that gap.
